The 12 trails to add to your calendar for the summer
Vincent1. Ultra Trail Aqua Terra: July 16 and 17.
There is something for everyone from 8 to 114km. The race takes place in Corrèze, near the lake of Bort Les Orgues and with a view of the Château de Val for castle lovers :)

2. Fort Boyard Trail: July 16.
Several races on the program, 10, 19 and 28km. A dream setting on the island of Oléron with a view of the most famous fort in France!

3. Courchevel X-Trail: July 24.
If there was one race to do, I would say this one, breathtaking landscapes, lots of elevation gain, passages through the lake of La Rosière and the Vanoise National Park, and the possibility to qualify for the legendary UTMB race (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc). The different race formats are 11, 22, 33, 44, 55 and 66km. If you love trail running, you will be served :)

4. 6000D, Race of the Giants: July 28 to 30.
A legendary trail. Contrary to its name, there is not 6000m of elevation gain but 3400m D+ for a total distance of 67km. A route with beautiful landscapes near La Plagne.

5. Shooting Stars Trail: August 12.
Night trail with 2 events, a 10km and a 30km. The race will take place in the Hérault department.

6. Méribel Trail: August 13 and 14.
An exceptional spot for all mountain lovers. Several race formats are possible: 5, 10, 25 and 50km. This trail is demanding, up to 4200m D+ for the 50km.

7. Tignes Trail: August 20 to 21.
Several distances are offered, 13, 27 and 44km. What better way to end the summer than with a trail in Tignes ;)

8. The Gulf of Morbihan Trail: June 30 to July 3
It includes several races ranging from Nordic walking (29km) to the Grand Raid (175km). The route offers magnificent landscapes with the Regional Natural Park of the Gulf of Morbihan. It follows the historic GR34 trail.

9. The Basque Country Ridge Race: July 1 and 2
Several routes are possible, from the night race (7km) to the special 45 years race (45km). You will find breathtaking green landscapes in the heart of the Basque Country.

10. The Vanoise Glaciers Tour: July 2 to 3.
Several races are on the program, Pralognan vue du Ciel (30km), the Tour of the Vanoise Needle (15km) and the legendary Vanoise Glaciers Tour race (73km and 3800m D+). The landscapes are truly breathtaking. The 4 a.m. start might sting 🥱

11. Ultra Trail Côte d’Azur Mercantour: July 8 to 10.
There is something for everyone, from 5 to 125km. Breathtaking landscapes through the mountains.

12. Trail of the End of the World in Finistère: July 9 to 10.
The uniqueness of this trail is that the finish line will be at the tip of Finistère. With distance options of 20, 37 or 57km. There are no more spots for this edition but it might be worth discovering this part of Finistère by running alone or with company on your own.
