12 trails to add to your summer calendar

1. Aqua Terra Ultra Trail: July 16 and 17.

There's something for everyone, from 8 to 114km. The race takes place in Corrèze, on the shores of Lake Bort Les Orgues, with a view of the Château de Val for castle lovers :)

2. Ford Boyard Trail: July 16.

Several races on the program: 10, 19 and 28km. A dream setting on the Ile d'Oléron, with a view of France's most famous fort!

3. Courchevel X-Trail: July 24.

If there was one race to do, I'd say it's this one, with breathtaking scenery, lots of elevation gain, passes through Lac de la Rosière and the Vanoise National Park, and the chance to qualify for the legendary UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) race. The different race formats are 11, 22, 33, 44, 55 and 66km. If you like trail running, you're in for a treat :)

4. 6000D, Course des Géants: July 28-30.

A trail of legends. Contrary to its name, there's not 6000M of ascent but 3400m D+ for a total course of 67km. A course with beautiful scenery close to La Plagne.

5. Shooting stars trail: August 12.

Night trail with 2 events, a 10km and a 30km. The race takes place in the Hérault department.

6. Méribel Trail: August 13 and 14.

An exceptional spot for all mountain lovers. Several race formats are available: 5, 10, 25 and 50km. This is a demanding trail, with up to 4200m D+ for the 50km.

7. Trail Tignes: August 20-21.

Several distances are on offer: 13, 27 and 44km. What better way to end the summer than with a trail in Tignes ;)

8. Trail du Golfe du Morbihan : June 30 to July 3

It includes several races ranging from Nordic walking (29km) to the Grand Raid (175km). The route takes in the magnificent scenery of the Golfe du Morbihan Regional Nature Park. It follows the historic route of the GR34.

9. The Crêtes du Pays Basque race: July 1 and 2

Several courses are available, from the night race (7km) to the special 45th anniversary race (45km). Breathtaking green landscapes in the heart of the Basque Country.

10. Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise: July 2 to 3.

Several races are on the program, including Pralognan vue du Ciel (30km), Tour de l'Aiguille de la Vanoise (15km) and the legendary Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise (73km and 3800m D+). The scenery is truly breathtaking. The 4 a.m. start may sting 🥱

11. Ultra trail Côte d'Azur Mercantour: July 8-10.

There's something for everyone, from 5 to 125km. Breathtaking mountain scenery.

12. Trail du Bout du Monde in Finistère: July 9-10.

The special feature of this trail is that the finish will be at the tip of Finistère. With a choice of distances of 20, 37 or 57km. There are no places left for this edition, but it's well worth discovering this part of Finistère on your own or with someone else.
